The Big Futures Program will
work with Young Adults ages 16-24. The program will focus on the 3 “E’s” of
Education, Enlistment, and Employment. We will help young adults to overcome
any barriers they may face that prevent them from achieving success.
Program benefits include...
- Google Grows Curriculum
- Next Steps provided by El Paso Community College to help the young
adults to achieve educational success by enhancing their math and reading
skills.
- CompTIA A+ certification offered
by Western Tech
- Group mentoring with others involved in the program under the guidance a lead mentor to discuss any personal or professional challenges.
- Monthly life skills workshops to gain valuable knowledge in various areas such applying for college and financial aid, applying for an apartment/housing, and how to build and maintain healthy credit.
Big Brothers Big Sisters realizes that not all young adults
will be able to achieve success in the 3 “E’s” without help in eliminating any barriers they may face. Anything from not having a working cellphone to having the proper
documentation/identification to apply for a job.
A dedicated
staff member from Big Brother Big Sisters will work with the
youth to overcome any obstacles.
