Home Visitation Form

To help ensure the safety and well-being of all youth in our program, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Big Sky Country requires a minimum waiting period of three (3) months before a Little may visit their Big's home.

The purpose of this policy is to promote the safety, well-being, and positive development of youth participating in Big Brothers Big Sisters of Big Sky Country while providing clear expectations for home visits between Bigs and Littles.

Prior to any home visit, the following requirements must be reviewed and acknowledged:

  1. Parent/Guardian Knowledge and Approval
The Little's parent or guardian must be informed of and approve any visit to the Big's home.
  2. Supervision Requirements
The Big must remain with the Little at all times during the visit. The Little may not be left in the care or supervision of any individual who is not affiliated with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Big Sky Country and approved through the program.
  3. Guns and Weapons Policy
All home visits must comply with the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Big Sky Country Guns and Weapons Policy. If you have questions regarding this policy or its requirements, please contact your Match Support Specialist before completing this form.
  4. Alcohol, Tobacco, and Marijuana Use
Bigs are prohibited from consuming alcohol, smoking, vaping, or using marijuana products while a Little is visiting their home. In addition, no other individual present in the home may engage in these activities in the presence of the Little.
  5. Pets in the Home
If the Big has pets, accommodations must be made if the Little is uncomfortable around them. Pets must be secured in a separate area of the home when necessary to ensure the Little's comfort and safety.

Acknowledgment and Signature Requirement

This Home Visitation Form must be signed by both the Big and the Little's parent or guardian prior to the Little visiting the Big's home.
