Pick Your Program!

At Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Central Indiana, we offer two programs for mentoring — but our biggest need is in our Site-Based (SB) Program.

Site-Based (SB) Mentoring

Best fit for college students: All IU students are enrolled in the SB Program unless schedules do not align with our partner school sites.
Commitment: 2–3 hours per month, usually in weekly or biweekly sessions.
Location: Meet at your Little’s school during lunch or recess.
Activities: Materials and games are provided for you to enjoy together.
Duration: One-year commitment required. No expectations over summer, only one check-in.

Community-Based (CB) Mentoring

Commitment: Spend 4+ hours per month with your Little.
Flexibility: Schedule outings at times that work for both you and your Little.
Responsibilities: Provide transportation, cover outing costs, and maintain communication with the family.
Duration: One-year commitment required, including summer months. If you are away during the summer, you must stay in monthly contact with your Little and their family.
