Program Options

Mentor 2.0/KIPP Camden

Technology enhanced College and Career readiness mentoring program at KIPP High School in Camden, NJ. Mentors communicate with high school mentees online once a week and meet in person one evening a month (4:00pm-5:30pm) only during the school year.


Mentor 2.0/Parkway Center City

Technology enhanced college and career readiness mentoring program at Parkway Center City Middle College in Philadelphia, PA. Mentors communicate with high school mentees online once a week and meet in person one evening a month (5:30pm-7:00pm) only during the school year.


Russell Buyers Charter School

Mentors are matched one-on-one with a 3rd-8th grade student at Russell Byers Charter School (18th & Arch, Philadelphia, PA) and visit their mentee during lunch/recess at the school on a weekly basis only during the school year. 


Pride Empowerment Program

Mentors who identify within the LGBTQ+ community are matched with a GSA (Gender Sexuality Alliance) space at a high school or middle school, and volunteer along BBBSI staff and school staff to support students in a group mentoring structured space throughout the school year. 


Community Based Program

Matches in our Community-based program meet 2-4 times per month out in the community doing activities that they both enjoy (ex: playing basketball, visiting the library, grabbing a slice of pizza, or attending agency sponsored events with other matches). BBBS asks for a one year commitment from all participants and each match is professionally supported by a Match Support Specialist who provides guidance, resources, and/or activity ideas to enhance the match relationship. 


Community Based Program - Rainbow Bigs

We serve a diverse group of young people with varying preferences for the mentor they would like to be matched with. Rainbow Bigs are mentors who identify as LGBTQ+ that are matched with a young person in our Community Based Program, who has made a specific request to be matched with a Big who identifies

within this community


College Bigs

MUST BE A CURRENT COLLEGE STUDENT ENROLLED AT UPENN, TEMPLE, OR ST. JOE'S TO BE ELIGIBLE

College students from a partner university are matched as a mentor to a student in grade K-8 who attends a school nearby campus. Bigs visit their Littles once per week during the Little's lunch or afterschool program, only during the school year. Minimum 2 semester commitment.
