Community-Based Program
Matches spend time together doing activities in their community. These activities include playing sports, going to the library, or going to the park. The amount of time a match spends together depends on the activity, match availability, and agency guidelines. Volunteers partner with their Little and their family to set goals and plan one-to-one activities and outings, which should be low or no cost.
Site-Based Program
Matches spend one-to-one time together at the Little's school or after-school program. Matches can play a game, work on homework or chat, but activities can only take place on-site. Matches in this program generally meet once a week while school is in session.
Our OKC office offers the Site-Based program at Memorial Park Boys & Girls Club.
Our Tulsa office offers the Site-Based program at Kendall Whittier Elementary School.
Oklahoma's Big League
Oklahoma’s Big League is a guided mentorship program that brings matches together for a BBBS-planned activity once each month with a focus on sports activities. BBBS staff coordinate with your Little's family. Your job is to show up and be a friend.
