Program Requirements

Please ensure you meet the following basic requirements before enrolling your child:

Your child is in 2nd-11th grade at the time of enrollment
Your child lives in the Greater KC Metro area (Johnson, Wyandotte, Platte, Clay, Jackson, or Cass County)
Your child is verbal
Your child is interested in participating in the program
Big Brothers Big Sisters Kansas City serves children who would most benefit from an additional caring adult in their life. Children living in a one-guardian home are automatically eligible. Children living in a two-guardian home are eligible if they demonstrate a need for a caring adult in their life.
