Big's Information

Agreement
By choosing to participate in Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County & The Inland Empire’s (BBBSOC/IE) Adult Site Based mentoring programs, I understand that:
1. I will follow  all rules and guidelines of the Adult Site Based mentoring programs in addition to adhering to agency policies and procedures for match visits.

2. I will make at least a one-year commitment to being matched to my Little; program is 3 years so ideally remain as a volunteer until high school graduation.

3. I will meet with my Little once a month virtually until we return to in-person sessions. I understand that seeing my Little consistently is one of the most important things I can do as a mentor.

4. Be on time to scheduled program sessions; I will notify BBBSOC&IE staff immediately, as well as my Little, when I know I will be late or absent.

5. Maintain all contact with my Little restricted to workplace grounds (session, school, BBBS agency events).

6. Keep any personal information about my Little and family members that I might be exposed to confidential.  In the event that I learn about information that puts my Little in danger, I will immediately notify BBBSOC&IE staff.

7. Respond to calls, emails, or letters from program staff as soon as possible, understanding that I will be contacted on a bi-monthly basis for match support.
8. Participate in program evaluations (i.e. surveys, questionnaires, etc.).

9. Notify BBBSOC&IE staff immediately if I have any changes to my address, telephone number, or email address, or a change in employment.

10. Immediately contact BBBSOC&IE staff if I have any significant concerns with my Little and/or the program.

11. Notify Program Specialist when attending any school events (sporting events, performances, awards ceremonies, etc.) that are facilitated by the student’s school.  The Big is responsible to call or email when attending school related events. As a reminder, the Big is not allowed to pick-up/drop off Little at any point during the duration of the match/program regardless of the situation. Always keep Program Specialist updated if there is a concern or question.
